The invisible art
Editing
Film editing is an art that is crucial to the final look of the film. Editors connect different shots and sections of film together in very special ways, which is why editing is sometimes referred to as an ‘invisible art’, whereby the viewer is so engrossed in the film that they are not aware of the process behind it. When you consider that most corporate films involve the use of only one camera at any one time, every shot is separated by time and space, and it is the job of the editor to ensure the seamless links between shots to create eye-catching results.
It is the editing process that guides the telling and pace of a script or story and can bring out the emotional truth in the actor’s performances. The complete style of the film can be dictated by the way it is edited, whether it be a punchy, faced-paced style that is required or more free-flowing and gentle results. We know at Wibfilm that this part of the process is not open to compromise and so have built up a team of expert editors with an abundance of experience behind them and capable of creating stunning results.
